Work and humans

Work and humans...

Don’t blame ‘work’

People whinge about work when they have it... and people whinge about not having work...

Hmmm...

What is the common thread... whinging...

Maybe an outcome here is also people’s appreciation for work...

I have had my own business for over 22 years... (don’t do the math please) including a hair salon... Ok now you know why my curls are so pretty! 🙂

In this time I have found it frustrating that the majority of young people have a lack of work ethic and entitlement attitude... rates which are high and hours in their lifestyle terms

Yes I know many are born from the baby boomers and have enjoyed the hard work of that generation however this might be the first wake up call for them...

They have been paid to learn and work at times when it suits them...

I went to uni... there you pay to learn. I worked on many projects (probably 5-10 thousand hours) of unpaid work ... some my own ... some for others ...

I always went above and beyond to help and contribute in any way I had the skills or knowledge to help... paid or unpaid...

So... how will people respond to a lack of work???

Whinge?
Or just step up and work and contribute anyway?

Paid or unpaid...

Because in my experience... you cannot see opportunities from sitting on the couch...

The opportunities are out there, around corners you can’t see, in discussions you don’t expect...

Keep moving... your work does not define you...

Invest in yourself and your own knowledge and journey...

Let go of the ego... the attachment to your ‘job’...

It’s time to stop whinging and smile... and create the new future like everyone else will have to do!

Seriously... education and jobs are changing... it will all be ok for those who have their eyes open...

It’s all still there... just not in the places it was...

Have a good day...
